That must have been awful to lose important stuff like that. And PowerPoint is forever causing massive problems where I work too. This was only fan fic after all! I had no idea that you had to actually turn on the auto save option until my friend told me I didn't have it. It's hard to imagine why that isn't built in as automatic. Does anyone WANT to lose their work?!!
I will certainly do the 'save as you go' from now on, but what I still can't understand is why I lost the entire document when the bulk of it had already been saved from the previous time I worked on it.
