Frodo the salt shaker, lol! Quite why the Hildebranbt brothers made the characters so comical, I wish I knew [and I've read their book!] but you've hit the nail about why I like this painting. Strider IS listening to whatever Frodo is telling him so here we see the beginning of the friendship, love and respect that develops between these two great heroes
