Dreamwidth

Because of LJ's recent troubles, several friends have posted about Dreamwidth this week. I opened an account there nearly two years ago but, like others, have never done anything with it. However, should LJ's down time become longer or even permanent, I'm obviously not alone in thinking that those dormant Dreamwidth accounts might yet prove useful.  

The problem is, currently only six of my LJ friends are also friends on Dreamwidth! That would mean losing touch with a lot of people should the worst happen. When I have more time [hopefully very soon] I'll try and find a few more of my flist on there but, in the meantime, if anyone wants to friend me, I'm just plain 'inzilbeth' without the 'liz'!

Also, I do have a few invite codes should anyone be interested in opening an account.

Hopefully, LJ's problems are short term but it doesn't hurt to be prepared!

Thank you! Hopefully I've 'friended' you back, or whatever the correct terminology is at Dreamwidth! I think it might be an idea to do a post to see if anyone is actually paying attention!

Wasn't it nice to be able to get your name without having to add a bunch of extras because someone already snagged it! I like being simply "cairistiona" without the 7 over there. :)

Yes, we were quick off the mark with that one, weren't we! It still irks me that the other Inzilbeth on LJ hasn't posted anything for about 9 years!

I haven't got a Dreamwidth account, and since I only use my LJ to post on the journal of friends, I'll open one at Dreamwidth only if anything happens to LJ.

Lazy me is keeping all her fingers crossed she won't need to open one. *g*

I have done many many posts now! all my fic from LJ - I think I have a few bits elsewhere to transfer tomorrow (most of my LotR fic is posted to the community lj :D
