All day I've been looking forward to watching 'Born of Hope'. The frustration of having to wait until I got home has been almost unbearable. But finally got to sit myself down in front of the computer, only to find that it won't stream. Six times I've tried to watch it and I've got no further than 3 minutes 18 seconds into it. In fact it has cut out at exactly the same place on three occasions. I'm so furious with my stupid computer feel like taking a sledge hammer to the darn think [something I did once do to a mobile phone which let me down once too often. It was enormously satisfying and the phone never pissed me off again, I can tell you!] Quite what is wrong with it I don't know but I'm going to have to abandon my attempts to watch the movie until this is sorted out as I don't want to watch it in little snatches. It sounds too good for that.
*big sigh* I'll just have to be patient a bit longer and perhaps I even ought to made it up with the computer. I have called it rather a lot of names tonight!

Date: 2009-12-03 08:16 am (UTC)If it's not too old, but runs a little slower than right, and assuming you have a PC, I ran these two programs on three computers in my house, and all three are running beautifully- especially my brother's computer. It went from loading an internet page in 5 seconds to loading it in less than 1 sec.
Even if it isn't running too slowly, I recommend them anyways- I am *loving* life right now, my computer is working beautifully.
These are approved and awarded by the most reliable companies on the net, as well as the most reliable geeks on the net, and I have had absolutely no problems for over a week on all three computers:
CCleaner- http://www.ccleaner.com/
Defraggler- http://www.defraggler.com/
Download both of these (which is simple, dont even have to restart the computer) and start with CCleaner. Run both Cleaner and Registry, which you should see on the side clearly. It should analyze and clean both rather quickly, and with the registry you can back it up just in case there is an error (and even manually select the ones you want to delete, though I had no problems deleting all at once).
The defraggler is like Windows Defrag, only a million times better. XD Just press analyze and when that finishes start it up and let it run in the background. I don't know how knowledgeable you are at computers, but if you have never defragged before, it will take a few hours. It'll slow things down a little but defragging opens up space and really helps the computer run- basically it files stuff in an orderly fashion XD
Uhm, even if none of that helps with watching the film, it will make your computer run super awesome if it has the same results as all the computers in my house xD
Also, another thought- how many background processes do you have running? That may be a problem as well, if it's not your internet connection.
